A Day of Small Joys

Description:

My morning started with helping my mom set up her new fridge in the kitchen—it’s really sleek. After that, I finally bought my own website domain. I’ve been wanting to make this a permanent thing, at least for myself. I felt happy setting up my blog, playing around with it, and adding a "Currently Reading" widget, which I love. I even added music—fancy.

Afterward, I took a shower and went out to buy cucur udang, but I ended up impulsively getting rojak mee too because I was hungry after taking my pills. From there, I went straight to my aunt’s house for a gathering to break fast. I played with my baby cousins—Che Mat was in a good mood today; he laughed a lot and cried less. Sofea, as always, was the cutest.

For dinner, my aunt ordered nasi lemak with chicken rendang, and honestly, that was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I had three servings in one sitting—it was phenomenal. I spent the night playing with the kids before watching horror movies with my mom and stepdad. We also talked about Javanese beliefs, like how I shouldn’t place my bed directly across the door. That convinced me to rearrange my bedroom layout.

I got home around 11 p.m., continued watching the movie while having more nasi lemak, then got ready for bed. It was a really pleasant day.
